This week we have enjoyed celebrating Interfaith week in school. We began the week by learning about the different faiths and different places of worship. Then we looked more closely at our faith as we learned about the different things we see inside a Catholic church. At the end of the week, we were lucky enough to see inside the beautiful St. Mary’s Cathedral in Newcastle and learn more about the objects and symbols used in the church and in our faith. When we got back to school, we studied and sketched lots of different Christian symbols before choosing one to use as a design for a block print.
