This admissions policy has been formally adopted by the governing body of St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Gateshead. The governing body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for determining the school’s admissions arrangements.  

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for the school is 30.  

St Peter’s Catholic Primary School serves the parish of St Peter’s, Gateshead. 

How and when to apply

Applications must be made online via the Gateshead Council’s website. Applications must be completed by the closing date set by Gateshead Council. Gateshead School Admissions Team can be contacted on 0191 433 3909 or 0191 433 6185. Visits to school are welcome and encouraged. Please contact us on 0191 4878233 to arrange a visit or obtain further information.

Important Dates for September 2026 Admissions

8 September 2025The online admissions system opens for parents to apply at: www.gateshead.gov.uk/schooladmissions.
15 January 2026Closing date for submitting applications.
16 April 2026Email and letters are sent to parents informing them of the outcome of their application. 
22 May 2026Any places that become available will be offered from the schools waiting list.

September 2026 Admission Open Sessions

We are running the following sessions for prospective parents to attend:

  • Tuesday 30th September 2025 at 10:00am.
  • Tuesday 11th November 2025 at 9:30am.
  • Monday 1st December 2025 at 10:00am.
