Year 2 – Dougal’s Deep- Sea Diary

A post in our latest news section.

This week in our English lessons, we listened to the story ‘Dougal’s Deep-Sea diary’ by Simon Bartman. First, we used pictures to sequence and retell the story to our partners. In our next lesson, we used viewfinders to look closely at the images from the story and identify nouns. Then we used our viewfinders again and thought of adjectives so that we could write expanded noun phrases based on what we could see in the different illustrations.
