This week in our RE lessons, we have been learning about Judaism and the celebration of Shabbat. We learned how Shabbat begins at sunset on Friday evening to remember that God made the world. Shabbat is a day of rest and begins with a special meal that the family spend together. After the meal, they sing traditional songs and then their time of rest begins as they put away all electronics and spend time together. Shabbat ends on Saturday evening when a special prayer is said for the week ahead.
