School Meals
Menu and catering information about our school.
Our Primary School menus are carefully developed to appeal to children and provide the perfect balance of essential nutrients – and to offer them the chance to try a few dishes they may not have tried before.
School meals are currently £2.95 per day or £14.75 per week. Meals should be booked and paid for via the Arbor app. Should you have any further questions about our online payments system please call in and speak to the office staff who will be happy to assist you.
One week’s notice, during term-time, to change from a school dinner to packed lunch or vice-versa is requested. Reception children are encouraged to have a school dinner upon entry to school, this helps build on social and development skills at an early age.
We actively encourage children to bring a healthy packed lunch into school. We suggest that a healthy packed lunch should contain a variety of items that could include:
Children are not permitted to bring in the following:
Glass bottles, cans and other containers that could be dangerous are not allowed.
We actively encourage children to bring a healthy snack. EYFS & KS1 pupils are provided with fruit daily. However, children in KS1 can, if they would like, bring in a healthy snack from home.
Healthy snacks can include the following:
Children are not permitted to bring in the following:
Universal Infant Free School Meals
Every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 classes is now entitled to a free school meal under the government’s universal infant free school meal scheme. This is not means-tested.
Means Tested Free School Meals
Your children may also qualify for means-tested free school meals if you meet the following criteria:
You and your partner must be in receipt of one of the following benefits:
If you qualify for Free School Meals, it is important for your child’s school that you apply – even if your children are in year 1 or year 2. For every valid application, your child’s school can claim extra funding for resources such as extra tuition, teaching assistants or after-school clubs.
Children who receive a free school meal are not singled out in any way.
If you meet the above criteria please apply online using the link below.
