Posted on September 4, 2026
Today in our art lesson, we explored what installation art is and how it can transform a space. We looked at examples of artists who create large-scale or site-specific artworks, often using everyday objects, materials and natural elements. We discussed how installation art can make us think, feel or experience a space in a new way, and how it can be temporary or permanent, indoors or outdoors. We then explored how installation art can be used to communicate ideas, tell a story or respond to an important issue.
