Today, Year 5 explored the important topics of war, asylum and human rights, as this week is Refugee week. Through discussion and scenario based activities, the children considered the experiences of people who are forced to leave their homes due to conflict and seek safety elsewhere. As a class, we discussed the challenges and feelings of the people who might be seeking asylum showing maturity and empathy to our global neighbours.
