COTW: 20.04.26

A post in our latest news section.

Mrs McArthur led us in prayer this morning, as we gathered together as one St. Peter’s family after the Easter holidays. Our focal point is draped in gold, preparing for the feast of Pentecost.
We listened to a special opening prayer and considered how we know how to live. Reflecting upon the bible and our golden rule! Our golden rule, to treat others how we want to be treated. Trying our best in all we do to follow Jesus’ footsteps showing empathy, kindness and concern to those around us.
We listened to a piece of scripture from the Old Testament, from the book of Ezra. ‘Rise up, this matter is in your hands’. This means it is up to us, how we put our words into action.
We reviewed the 5 British Values and considered our responsibilities as British Citizens and members of our school community.
We listened to a story about somebody, nobody, everybody and anybody. This story helped us to understand the role each of us place in our school community and in the wider community too. We discussed our responsibility to be accountable for our actions. We discussed the variety of responsibilities we have each been tasked with and how these responsibilities have been given to us as individuals, therefore we must depend upon ourselves and not relying upon somebody, nobody, anybody and everybody.
Going forth, we are trying our best to fulfil the responsibilities we have been given and enjoy this Summer term, treating others as we want to be treated and following in Jesus’ footsteps.
