As our links with Dryden School continue, School Council were lucky enough to be invited to the grand opening of our partner school’s new playground. The ribbon was cut by the Mayor of Gateshead and some of us were lucky enough to enjoy a chat with her. The playground at Dryden School is fully accessible for all children, whether they’re mobile or in a wheelchair. There’s a sensory tunnel which we really enjoyed too. These visits provide a rich opportunity to understand how the needs of other children are met in order for them to enjoy the same experiences as we do.
