As part of our RE topic, prophecy and promise, Year 6 are learning about the many inspirational women of the bible. Today, we were introduced to Hannah. Hannah was a childless women who prayed endlessly to be blessed with a baby. God blessed Hannah with a baby boy, Samuel. She was eternally grateful and offered her son to God as thanks for his birth.

We discussed Hannah’s actions and her trust in God. She knew God would guide her son and allow him to flourish.

There are many similarities between Hannah and Sarah and we were able to draw comparisons to help us further develop our understanding of these influential women.
